Founded by Rathinamurthy R, a former senior director of product management at Flipkart, and Sridher Jeyachandran, who previously worked at Google, Crio provides personalized experiences for developers to help them learn new skills. They offer courses and roadmaps designed to empower individuals with the programming knowledge and data skills required for a successful career in technology. This includes full stack development, backend stack development and QA Automation, focusing on languages like Java and Javascript.

The funding round saw participation from the founders of the Udaan B2B ecommerce platform — Amod Malviya, Vaibhav Gupta and Sujeet Kumar — as well as Mekin Maheshwari who founded Udhyam Learning Foundation. All of them were early employees of Flipkart. Ravi Garikipati, who was till recently the chief technology officer at Flipkart, also invested in Crio. This support from experienced tech leaders signals a strong belief in Crio's mission to empower individuals with essential coding skills and algorithms knowledge to become top-notch developers.
